A SAFe Product Owner (PO) collaborates with stakeholders to define and rank stories in the Team Backlog, ensuring the system aligns with priorities while maintaining technical integrity. They have the sole authority to accept completed stories, playing a vital quality role.

 

A SAFe Product Manager (PM) collaborates with Product Owners, representing the customer vision to development teams. They define system features, prioritize the ART backlog, and validate feature benefit hypotheses.

 

The SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager course covers ART value creation, Epic and feature development, Iteration and Program Increment planning, Lean thinking, Continuous Delivery Pipeline, and effective collaboration with Product Managers. It prepares individuals for the SAFe® 6 Product Owner/Product Manager certification (POPM).

The SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) certification training is ideal for product owners, product managers, business owners, and business analysts. It caters to individuals responsible for defining and delivering products using Agile frameworks, aiming to enhance their skills in product development, value delivery, and maximizing business outcomes. Project and program managers tasked with translating initiatives into tangible workpackages and delivery roadmaps for their product vision are invited to sign up.

Exam Details

  • Exam name: SAFe® 6.0 Product Owner/Product Manager Exam

  • Exam format: Multiple choice; Multiple select

  • Exam delivery: Web-based (single-browser), closed book, no outside assistance, timed

  • Exam access: Candidates can access the exam within the SAFe Community Platform upon completion of the SAFe 6 Product Owner/Product Manager course

  • Exam duration: Once the exam begins, candidates have 90 minutes (1.5 hours) to complete the exam

  • Number of questions – 45

  • Passing score – 36 out of 45 (80%)

  • Language – English

  • Exam cost – First exam attempt is included as part of the course registration fee if the exam is taken within 30 days of course completion. Each retake attempt costs $50.

  • Retake policy – Second attempt on exam (first retake) can be done immediately after first attempt. Third attempt requires a 10-day wait. The fourth attempt requires a 30-day wait.

SAFe® Product Owner / Product Manager certification training gives you the following:

  • Login to the SAFe Community Portal where you can learn about the agile fundamentals and SAFe principles before the training.

  • Courseware page in the online portal from where you can access and download the digital workbook and all the content including templates, toolkit and videos about Product Owner/Product Manager role that will be taught in the class.

  • SAFe POPM Training – Two fill days of instructor led interactive training using collaborative tools and fun games with enough break for fresh air and lunch.

  • Access to web portal to take a practice test which gives you the same experience as taking the actual exam. This practice test can be taken multiple times and the results will be shown to you.

  • Access to the certification exam, which can be taken from home using the same community portal that you used for the practice test.

  • An additional one hour’s support from our trainers post training to check how prepared you are for your certification exam and give you exam tips and additional practice test questions on demand.

  • On passing the exam you will get SAFe POPM Certification and a digital badge.

  • One year membership of the SAFe community portal which hosts media library and lots of tools and templates to help Product Owners/Product Managers in their daily job.

  • You will also get 15 PDUs from PMI and 15 SEUs from Scaled Agile

  • In these two days we will be focused on active learning. Active learning is an approach in which all learners are engaged in the learning process. This means that learners are encouraged to engage with the material, to participate in the activities, and to collaborate with each other. Active learning stands in contrast to traditional models in which learners are passive recipients of knowledge from an expert. We do not expect learners in class to listen and memorize. Instead, we help them demonstrate their understanding, and ask them how they would apply the new knowledge
